Walkin’ In Sunshine! Cutlery Couture is so happy to support New Avenues to Independence!
Well another summer is officially in the books and if you find yourself feeling a little melancholy, do what we do—throw a party! Want a September to remember? Blast some Earth, Wind and Fire and fire up the grill one more time—invite the neighbors, the newly-empty nesters and get ready for sweater weather—I think we can all agree, cooler weather will be a blessing. If you aren’t feeling the hostess, that’s okay, fall brings back fund raising season, and when you attend a ball, a fashion show, an auction or a concert that supports a cause or a community, it’s a win/win—funds for fun! Cutlery Couture was present on the auction table at the Cleveland Aquarium to support New Avenues to Independence; an organization in Northeast Ohio that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. New Avenues helps find ways for folks to forge connections and add value in their communities and remain as independent as possible. They do really important work and their cause is very near and dear to our hearts.
We love that their annual fund raiser is called “Applause” and that since 2015, they have raised more than $800K to help people with disabilities. We also love that the event is held at Windows on the River, at the Cleveland Aquarium—a beautiful venue for a beautiful purpose. Cleveland was the place to be on September 29!
We are so happy to help New Avenues as a part of our 10 Charities - Tenth Anniversary extravaganza—at Cutlery Couture we believe the best way to bring people together is to pull an extra chair to the table. We love organizations that encourage inclusivity and support those in need. When we look past differences and see our common humanity, we really can make the world a better place!
