Tuesday, December 21 is the winter solstice. We will sit down to dinner in the dark of night. People all over the world light candles against the dark, knowing the next day brings just a little more light than the one before. December is full of miracles and full of light; the darkest day is followed by dawn, new beginning, springtime and hope.
